This is the cover art for Neal Asher's "Shadow of the scorpion", a great Sci Fi book, quite epic and fun to read.

It was done for the upcoming French edition, fully under photshop.

GIANT SCORPION MECH!!!!!

I love it!

I also like how the human's body language shows his awe. He just stands there, weapon aside, unable to decide whether he should gawk at it some more or run away! It's like in a nightmare where you face the monster and every inch of your body and mind says: RUN! but your feet are just pinned on the ground.
It's hard to get that kind of emotion without showing the face, but you nailed it!

Definitely looking up the book!
